Fusion procedures vary according to the surgical approach but their purpose is the same: to rigidly or dynamically stabilize one or more segments of the spine. Depending on the location of the lesion, the age of the patient, type of pathology and symptoms shown, an adequate surgical planning is defined and performed to offer the best to the patient. A good clinical and radiological analysis and an accurate pre-diagnosis predict a good result.
Among the procedures we offer our patients are anterior (ALIF), lateral (XLIF), transforaminal (TLIF), oblique (OLIF) and posterior (PLIF) arthrodesies. For patients in whom it is not necessary to merge but to stabilize the segment, we use interspinous or interlaminar dynamic elements that allow this function.
